Conditions of Entry

Anyone can participate. :)

The winner's Pixel House will be placed on Mister Wong's property in the VisualOrgasm Pixeltown; the winner will naturally be announced at Mister Wong and VisualOrgasm. Mister Wong's Pixel House should have some reference to Mister Wong. After all, you should be able to see that this is where he lives. :)
Apart from fame and distinction the winner will receive his Pixel House on a Spreadshirt as well as a 12-month Premium Account for SecondLife.com.
Before participating please read all the terms and conditions for the Contest on this page.
We will only accept entries that meet the requirements described here.

Phases

In Phase 1 you can pixel and submit your houses. Only designs that have been submitted by the closing date of Phase 1 can participate in the Contest.
In Phase 2 all registered, logged-in users of VisualOrgasm can vote for the various designs.
In Phase 3 a jury will select the winning design from the twelve designs with the highest number of votes.
We reserve the right to extend the phases if it should be necessary.

Schedule:

Phase 1 (Submission of designs): by November 21, 2006
Phase 2 (Voting): by November 30, 2006
Phase 3 (Jury's decision): by December 6, 2006 at the latest

File formats:

Please create a GIF file using the Template. Animated GIF files are not allowed unfortunately. The file size should not exceed 100 KB.
Please only use this template. Please do not place any pixels over elements of the town such as the sidewalk or traffic signals!

Number of houses:

Each participant can enter up to five Pixel Houses in the Contest.

Voting:

Each visitor who is registered on VisualOrgasm and has logged in can vote for any design in Phase 2, including their own. Only once though. If you vote for a design a second time, the previous vote will be overwritten! Faked votes don't count by the way. ;)

Jury:

The members of the jury who will select the final winner from the 12 best designs from User Voting are:

Gallery:

All works submitted first arrive in the database and then they are assessed by us.
Only designs that do not have any right-wing radical, fascist, pornographic or violence-glorifying content will then be admitted to the Gallery.
In other words we reserve the right to reject certain works.
We don't mind anything funny, crazy or thought-provoking though!
We will not sort the works according to "good" or "bad". Don't worry. Absolutely anyone can participate.

Legal:

By submitting to the Gallery you give an assurance that there are no third-party rights whatsoever in respect of any fonts or graphics used.
You may only submit your own designs.
By submitting your design you declare your consent to our using the design online or in a printed form in connection with reporting on this Contest and in the form of a digital house for Mister Wong.
You can participate with your design even if it has already been submitted to other competitions. On submission it must not violate any third-party rights though!
Naturally you can refer to successful participation in this Contest in your portfolio or in applications.
We reserve the right to remove designs from the Contest if there is any suspicion of fraudulent imitation or copying!

Link placement:

We given an assurance that at the time of link placement there was no apparent illegal content on the pages to which the links were pointing. The team explicitly distances itself from all content on linked/hyperlinked pages that were changed after link placement.

Winner:

The winner will receive his Pixel House on a Spreadshirt, 300,- Euro cash, a WDC for 2007 as well as a 12-month Premium Account for SecondLife.com.
100,- Euro as well for place 2 and 3!
